About the Role
As a CDL-A truck driver specializing in open-deck loads, you'll operate late-model tractor-trailers equipped with APUs and upgraded cab interiors. You'll transport freight safely and efficiently across assigned routes, maintain accurate logbooks, and ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Customer relationships and on-time delivery are central to our operations.
What You'll Do
- Operate commercial vehicles over long distances, following company safety and operational standards
- Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain equipment integrity
- Secure and verify loads according to industry standards and legal requirements
- Maintain accurate electronic or paper logbooks and comply with hours-of-service regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and customers regarding route status and any delays
- Execute preventive maintenance checks and report mechanical issues immediately
What We're Looking For
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and current medical certification
- Verifiable experience operating commercial vehicles in over-the-road environments
- Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, and hours-of-service compliance
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and drug screening
