Position Summary
TasWater is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our team in Launceston Region, Tasmania. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the social, environmental, and economic well-being of Tasmania. Our mission is to provide exceptional water and sewerage services to over 460,000 customers daily, supported by a dedicated workforce of more than 920 employees.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on water and sewerage-related matters
- Review and draft contracts, policies, and procedures
- Support the management team in decision-making processes involving legal issues
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
- Represent TasWater in court proceedings as required

- A degree in law from an accredited institution
- Solid experience in water or utility sector legal practice
