Role Overview

This Lawyer: Disputes & Litigation position sits at Special Counsel or Senior Associate level and centres on commercial and corporate disputes, defamation matters, or estates litigation. You will manage substantial files in a firm that prioritises growth and collaborative practice, based in modern offices in the heart of Sydney’s CBD near The Rocks. The role suits lawyers who want substantive court work without sacrificing a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage high-value commercial, corporate, defamation or estates litigation from instruction through to resolution or trial
• Prepare pleadings, affidavits, advice, and other court documents to a high professional standard
• Appear in interlocutory hearings and instruct counsel at trial where appropriate
• Provide clear, practical advice to clients throughout the dispute lifecycle
• Collaborate with colleagues on strategy, file review and knowledge sharing within a growth-focused team
• Identify opportunities to deepen specialist expertise in one or more of the practice streams listed above

What You Bring

• Strong post-admission experience as a disputes and litigation lawyer, preferably at Senior Associate or Special Counsel level
• Proven ability to run commercial/corporate, defamation or estates matters with limited supervision
• Excellent drafting, advocacy preparation and client-communication skills
• Capacity to thrive in a collaborative, high-energy environment while managing multiple substantial files
• Current practising certificate entitling you to work in New South Wales
