Tesoro Group is hiring a Land Survey Crew Chief for our Orlando, Orange County team. This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position supporting survey and engineering projects in the renewable energy and land development sectors.

About This Position

As a Land Survey Crew Chief with Tesoro Group in Orange County, you'll lead field survey operations and oversee data collection for land development and renewable energy projects. This role combines hands-on surveying expertise with crew leadership and project coordination, offering meaningful advancement opportunities within a fast-growing organization partnered with a nationally recognized survey and engineering firm.

Your Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct survey crew members in the field
• Operate and maintain land survey equipment and instruments
• Collect, verify, and manage survey data with precision
• Plan and execute survey projects according to specifications and timelines
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain OSHA compliance on job sites
• Communicate project status and findings to supervisors and clients
• Ensure quality control throughout survey operations
• Document measurements, observations, and project details accurately

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a surveyor or in land survey field operations
• Demonstrated leadership and crew management capabilities
• Strong knowledge of surveying techniques, equipment, and industry standards
• Familiarity with renewable energy or land development projects (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to work in outdoor conditions and variable weather
• Professional communication and problem-solving skills
