Kitchen Designer

Home Depot is hiring a Kitchen Designer for our Dublin, Franklin County location. This is a full-time position where you'll help customers reimagine their kitchen and bathroom spaces through expert guidance and thoughtful design solutions.

About the Role

As a Kitchen Designer at Home Depot, you'll work directly with customers to understand their vision and transform it into achievable, beautiful kitchen and bathroom designs. This role combines customer service excellence with product knowledge, design consultation, and the ability to present tailored solutions that fit every budget. You'll be the trusted advisor who guides customers through every step of their project, from initial concept to final selection.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and establish rapport by understanding their kitchen or bathroom design needs and goals
• Conduct consultations using our design tools to create personalized kitchen and bath layouts
• Present multiple design options using our "good, better, best" approach to accommodate different budgets and preferences
• Provide product samples for customers to review at home and make informed decisions
• Offer expert recommendations on cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, and materials based on quality, durability, and style
• Advise customers on installation services, timelines, and project logistics
• Utilize showroom displays and design software to visualize and communicate design concepts
• Build lasting customer relationships and follow up on completed projects

Requirements

• Excellent communication and listening skills to understand customer needs and preferences
• Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to exceeding expectations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple customer interactions
• Proficiency with design software and basic computer skills (will be trained on Home Depot tools)
• Product knowledge or willingness to develop expertise in kitchen and bath design trends, materials, and solutions
• Full-time availability
