Keyholder

Petvalu is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Keyholder to join our Langley, BC location (7049). As a full-time member of our retail team, you'll help us serve pet owners across the community while developing your retail leadership skills.

Position Summary

The Keyholder role is central to keeping our Langley Petvalu running smoothly. You'll share responsibility for store operations, customer experience, and team coordination alongside our store manager. This is a full-time position where you'll develop practical retail management experience while maintaining the welcoming environment our customers expect when they visit us for their pet care needs.

Your Responsibilities

• Open and close the store following company procedures, including alarm management and facility checks
• Supervise team members and assist with training on product knowledge, customer service standards, and store operations
• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately and manage cash reconciliation at day's end
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock rotation, and maintain a clean, organized store environment
• Provide expert customer service, answering questions about pet products and care recommendations
• Follow all health, safety, and compliance protocols to protect our team and customers
• Support the store manager with administrative tasks and scheduling as needed

What You Bring

• Proven retail or customer service experience, ideally in a supervisory or lead role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfort coaching and supporting team members
• Reliability and integrity—we need someone we can trust with keys and store responsibilities
• Attention to detail in handling cash, inventory, and company procedures
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise regularly
• Genuine interest in pet care and enthusiasm for helping customers find the right products
