Join Viejas Casino & Resort as a full-time Journey Plumber and maintain the critical plumbing infrastructure that keeps our resort operations running smoothly. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to work on complex water, heating, drainage, and sewage systems across a dynamic hospitality property.
About the Role
As a Journey Plumber at Viejas Casino & Resort, you'll be responsible for the skilled installation, maintenance, and repair of our facility's plumbing systems. Working at journey level, you'll handle both routine upkeep and complex problem-solving to ensure all potable water, non-potable water, heating, and waste management systems function reliably and meet all applicable plumbing codes and regulations.
What You'll Do
- Install, assemble, and repair piping systems, fixtures, and fittings for water delivery, heating, and drainage
- Maintain and service potable and non-potable water systems throughout the resort
- Inspect and repair sewage and drainage systems to prevent backups and ensure proper operation
- Read and interpret architectural and plumbing plans to understand system layouts and specifications
- Trace piping routes and identify system issues using diagnostic techniques
- Ensure all work complies with current plumbing codes and industry standards
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency plumbing requests
What We're Looking For
- Active plumbing license or journey-level certification
- Demonstrated experience with potable water, non-potable water, heating, and drainage systems
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and ability to work to specifications
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled use of hand and power tools
- Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Reliable, safety-focused approach to work
