SpecialtyCare is hiring an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist in Santa Clarita to deliver real-time neurological monitoring during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and supporting surgical teams with expert technical expertise.

Role Overview

As an Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist, you'll operate specialized electrophysiological monitoring equipment in the operating room to track nerve and spinal cord function throughout surgery. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week in a dynamic surgical setting where your monitoring expertise directly protects patient neurological outcomes and gives surgeons the real-time data they need to make critical decisions during complex procedures.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot intraoperative neuromonitoring systems before and during surgical cases
• Monitor electrophysiological signals in real time and alert the surgical team to significant changes in neurological function
• Conduct baseline assessments and continuous testing to track nerve and spinal cord activity throughout procedures
• Accurately document all monitoring data, findings, and alerts in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Communicate findings clearly and promptly to surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR nursing staff
• Maintain equipment functionality, infection control protocols, and sterile operating room standards
• Stay current with evolving monitoring technologies and best practices in neurophysiology

Who We're Looking For

• Current CNT, CNIM, or equivalent neuromonitoring certification, or eligibility to obtain certification
• Solid foundation in neurophysiology, electrophysiology, and spinal cord and peripheral nerve monitoring
• Ability to remain focused and communicate effectively under pressure in fast-paced surgical environments
• Meticulous attention to detail and strong commitment to accurate data collection
• Team-oriented collaborator who works seamlessly with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing professionals
• Physical stamina for prolonged standing and working in sterile conditions
