Instructional Assistant I – Gen Ed – 7 hrs. per day!

Mark Twain Elementary, part of Silver Falls Sd 4J, is hiring a dedicated Instructional Assistant I to join our General Education team in Silverton. This is a full-time position offering 7 hours of work each day, supporting our teachers and students in delivering quality instruction every day.

About the Role

As an Instructional Assistant I in our General Education program, you'll be the bridge between our licensed teachers and students, helping create a classroom environment where every learner can succeed. You'll work directly with students in one-on-one settings, small groups, and whole-class activities, adapting your approach to meet diverse learning needs. This hands-on role is essential to the educational experience at Mark Twain Elementary and throughout Silver Falls Sd 4J.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct instructional support to students under teacher supervision, reinforcing lessons and helping clarify concepts
• Work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen foundational skills and academic progress
• Assist with classroom management, organization, and preparation of instructional materials
• Support inclusive learning environments by helping all students access grade-level instruction
• Collaborate closely with teachers to implement lesson plans and educational strategies
• Monitor student engagement and progress, reporting observations to teaching staff
