About the Role
We are seeking a Heavy-Duty Mechanic to perform maintenance and repairs on various heavy equipment, including trucks, mobile plant machinery, light vehicles, and generators as required. The role involves ensuring that our fleet operates at peak performance.
- Perform routine and scheduled maintenance tasks
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities
Your Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for ensuring that our equipment operates at peak performance. Machines: Variety of trucks, mainly Volvos and Scania.
- Experience with heavy-duty vehicles and machinery is essential
- A valid Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's license is required
- Excellent problem-solving skills are necessary
- Ability to work in a FIFO 8/6 schedule, with periods of remote fieldwork
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are highly valued.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in heavy-duty mechanics or related field
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail
- PASSION for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment
- Valid Heavy Vehicle Mechanic's license (RPL considered)
