Health and Safety Manager

Motrex LLC is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead all occupational safety, health, and compliance initiatives at our Kansas City facility in Wyandotte County. This full-time role is critical to protecting our workforce and maintaining regulatory compliance across all operations.

About the Role

As Health and Safety Manager, you'll own the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive workplace safety programs. You'll report directly to facility leadership and serve as the primary point of contact for all health, safety, and regulatory compliance matters. Your leadership will ensure our operation meets and exceeds federal, state, and local safety requirements while fostering a culture where every employee goes home safe each day.

What You'll Do

• Direct all aspects of OSHA compliance and occupational safety programs, including inspections, audits, and corrective action implementation
• Manage facility-wide housekeeping and workplace safety standards to maintain safe working conditions across all areas
• Develop and enforce safety policies aligned with corporate standards and applicable regulations
• Investigate workplace incidents and near-misses, document findings, and implement preventive measures
• Conduct safety training and awareness programs for employees at all levels
• Coordinate with external agencies, consultants, and auditors on compliance matters
• Maintain detailed records of safety metrics, incidents, and corrective actions
• Partner with department heads to integrate safety into daily operations and decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing occupational safety and health programs in a manufacturing or industrial facility
• Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, standards, and compliance requirements
• Strong communication and training skills to engage employees across all levels
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation, record-keeping, and regulatory compliance
• Ability to investigate incidents objectively and implement effective corrective actions
• Professional certifications such as CSP, OHST, or OSHA 30-hour card preferred
