About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Hairstylist/Cosmetologist to deliver high-quality hair care and styling services at BYU. This part-time position offers flexible scheduling within our salon operations, allowing you to build clientele while maintaining work-life balance. You'll work with a diverse clientele in a professional salon setting serving students, faculty, staff, and visitors to our Provo campus.

What You'll Do

• Perform hair cutting, styling, coloring, and treatment services with attention to individual client preferences and hair health
• Consult with clients to understand their styling goals and recommend appropriate services and maintenance routines
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards in all salon tools, equipment, and work areas
• Keep detailed client records and build positive relationships to encourage repeat business
• Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and best practices in cosmetology
• Support salon operations by managing your schedule, maintaining your station, and collaborating with team members

What We're Looking For

• Current cosmetology or hairstylist license issued by the State of Utah
• Demonstrated experience in hair cutting, styling, coloring, or related salon services
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work professionally with diverse clientele
• Knowledge of hair types, textures, and appropriate care techniques
• Ability to work flexible, part-time hours in a salon environment
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professional conduct
