What This Role Involves
Care for high-acuity patients recovering from abdominal transplant surgeries including kidney, liver, and pancreas transplants on our specialized 19-bed Surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Assist in the recovery process of these complex cases, ensuring patient comfort and safety through a range of clinical interventions.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to post-operative patients with close monitoring for complications and signs of distress.
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and document all treatments accurately in the medical record.
- Perform patient assessments, vital sign checks, and wound care as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
