What This Role Involves

SkyCity Adelaide is undergoing a significant multi-year transformation of its risk and compliance environment, covering financial crime, gambling harm minimisation, and enterprise risk. As the General Manager - Risk Management, you will lead the Risk and Assurance team, responsible for designing, embedding, and continuously improving the Risk Management Framework end to end.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Risk and Assurance team in delivering a comprehensive risk management strategy across financial crime, gambling harm minimisation, and enterprise risk.
• Develop and implement robust risk management policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Ensure effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation processes are in place to support the organization's strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and manage risks associated with business operations, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Provide regular reports on risk management activities and performance metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably within the financial services or gaming industry.
• A relevant degree in a related field such as finance, accounting, law, or business administration is preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements, particularly those related to financial crime prevention and gambling harm minimisation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across various levels of the organization.
