About the Role
This is a full-time Owner Operator opportunity with Smart Gear Logistics LLC, based out of Ankeny, Polk County. You'll run OTR across a mix of trailer types while we handle the back-office costs that eat into your margins. We build your schedule together, so you stay productive on the road and get home when it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate your own equipment on OTR routes, hauling Flatbed, Refrigerated, Power Only, and Dry Van freight.
- Manage dedicated lanes reliably while maintaining clear, consistent communication.
- Plan runs in coordination with our team to balance road time and home time.
- Keep your truck and loads compliant with safety and DOT standards.
Qualifications
- Active Owner Operator with your own tractor.
- Experience running OTR freight across one or more trailer types (Flatbed, Reefer, Power Only, or Dry Van).
- Valid CDL and a commitment to safe, dependable service.
