What This Role Involves

The Fitter Machinist at Legeneering will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the fabrication and machining departments. The role involves working closely with other team members to support major projects across various sectors including Defence, Marine, Energy, and Industrial.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment to produce precise components
• Maintain and clean machinery to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect parts for quality and make necessary adjustments
• Work with team members on in-situ machining tasks
• Support vessel construction and sustainment projects as required

What You Bring

• Experience in fitter machinist roles, preferably within an engineering or fabrication environment
• A solid understanding of machining processes and techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with a range of machinery and tools used in the industry
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
