Field Service Technician I

CleanHarbors is hiring a Field Service Technician I to work in the field across Chattanooga and Hamilton County, Tennessee. This is a full-time position for someone ready to contribute to critical environmental and safety operations through hands-on technical work in hazardous waste management and site remediation.

What This Role Involves

As a Field Service Technician I at CleanHarbors, you'll be stationed in the field performing technical tasks essential to hazardous materials handling and environmental cleanup operations. Your work will span multiple sites across the Chattanooga region, requiring flexibility with travel and on-call availability. You'll gain exposure to safety protocols, equipment operation, and hazardous waste procedures under the guidance of experienced team members.

What You'll Do

• Assist with hazardous waste collection, transport, and site cleanup operations
• Perform equipment decontamination procedures following established protocols
• Support site remediation efforts and environmental response activities
• Help maintain and operate specialized field equipment and tools
• Respond to emergency service calls when required
• Document work activities and maintain accurate field records

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and perform repetitive field tasks
• Willingness to learn hazardous materials handling and safety protocols
• Reliability and commitment to safety-first operations
• Available for travel and on-call emergency response
