About the Role
Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Representative for our Morrow, Clayton County facility. In this full-time position, you'll lead our proactive approach to workplace safety, providing expert guidance on health, safety, and environmental practices grounded in current legislation, industry standards, and proven best practices.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety programs aligned with OSHA standards and environmental regulations
- Conduct workplace inspections and hazard assessments to identify risks and recommend preventive solutions
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, document findings, and implement corrective actions
- Deliver safety training and education programs to employees at all levels
- Maintain accurate compliance records and safety documentation
- Monitor and interpret evolving federal, state, and local safety requirements
- Partner with management and frontline teams to build and sustain a strong safety culture
What We're Looking For
- Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational safety standards
- Proven experience in workplace safety, environmental compliance, or related field
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Capacity to train groups and communicate safety concepts clearly
- Organized, detail-oriented approach to record-keeping and documentation
- Drive to stay current with industry best practices and regulatory changes
