Facilities Manager – Wytheville, VA

CBRE is hiring a full-time Facilities Manager in Wytheville, Virginia to lead operational excellence and property management at a key location in Wythe County. This on-site role oversees facility maintenance, systems management, and vendor coordination to keep our workplace solutions running seamlessly every day.

Role Overview

As Facilities Manager in Wytheville, you'll serve as the operational leader of our facility, managing building systems, daily maintenance operations, and third-party service relationships. Our Global WorkplaceSolutions Local team handles technical facility work directly—plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural repairs—while you coordinate supplemental services like cleaning, grounds care, and security. You'll have clear ownership over facility outcomes and direct influence on how well our property performs for everyone who uses it.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee building systems maintenance, equipment repairs, and preventive care across the entire facility
• Manage the day-to-day coordination of in-house hard services and partner soft service providers
• Negotiate and maintain contracts with vendors to balance quality, service, and cost
• Develop and manage facility budgets while identifying efficiency improvements
• Ensure all operations meet safety codes, regulations, and industry compliance standards
• Build accountability throughout your team and drive responsive, solutions-oriented service delivery
• Document facility performance, maintenance history, and operational metrics for ongoing improvement

Requirements

• Substantial experience managing facilities, building operations, or property maintenance
• Technical competency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and building infrastructure
• Proven track record managing budgets, vendor contracts, and service agreements
• Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently with accountability
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility software is valued
• Valid driver's license; must be available to work full-time on-site in Wytheville, Virginia
