About This Position

We are currently seeking Explorer Hosts for a fixed-term, part-time role to join our team on Waiheke Island. The position is ideal for those looking to work during the summer months and will run from early October 2026 until April 2027.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to ferry passengers
• Assist with wayfinding and information requests
• Support team members during peak travel times
• Ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all passengers

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A friendly and approachable demeanor
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic knowledge of the Waiheke Island area and local attractions (training provided)
• Flexibility to work varying shifts during peak travel times
• Punctuality and reliability
