Event Manager Northeast Region

Friends Of The Israel Defense Forces seeks an experienced Event Manager for the Northeast Region, based in Chelsea and Clinton, Manhattan. This full-time position will drive engaging programs and community initiatives that advance our mission of supporting the Israel Defense Forces and their personnel.

About the Role

As Event Manager for the Northeast Region, you'll own the complete lifecycle of community and organizational events—from conception through successful execution. You'll serve as the primary liaison between leadership, partners, and attendees, ensuring each program reflects our organization's values and achieves its impact goals.

What You'll Do

• Plan, coordinate, and execute community events, fundraising initiatives, and educational programs across the Northeast Region
• Manage all logistical details including venue selection, vendor coordination, catering, A/V, and staffing
• Develop event budgets and track expenses to ensure fiscal responsibility
• Build and maintain relationships with community partners, sponsors, and stakeholders
• Create and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance and engagement
• Handle registration, attendee communications, and post-event follow-up
• Monitor event metrics and gather feedback to inform continuous improvement
• Collaborate with team members to align events with regional and organizational priorities

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of professional event management experience
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
• Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with event management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Genuine passion for nonprofit mission and community engagement
