CBRE is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician in Honolulu, HI (Wake Island) to keep critical facility systems running safely and efficiently for our clients across the islands.

About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician with CBRE in Honolulu, HI, you will join our Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) Local team — a hard services-led facility management practice that self-performs technical work while collaborating with leading soft-service partners. This is a hands-on, on-site position at our Wake Island, Honolulu location, where you will be trusted with real ownership of day-to-day building upkeep and a high degree of accountability for the quality of service we deliver.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs across building systems and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general facility issues, then resolve them safely and promptly.
• Respond to service requests and maintenance tickets, keeping the site operational and comfortable for occupants.
• Document completed work, parts used, and equipment status to support accurate facility records.
• Follow all safety procedures and compliance standards while performing technical tasks.
• Coordinate with team members and trusted service partners to deliver efficient, agile facility solutions.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in facility, building, or equipment maintenance across multiple trades.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with strong troubleshooting ability.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Self-motivated approach with the reliability to take downstream ownership of assigned tasks.
• Ability to work full-time on-site at the Wake Island, Honolulu location.
