Entrepreneur-in-Residence (later stage)

Edge Collaborative seeks an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence (later stage) to join our team in Stockton, San Joaquin County. This is a full-time position supporting founders and social enterprises as they scale solutions to systemic economic challenges across our region.

What This Role Involves

As an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, you'll serve as a strategic advisor and trusted mentor to later-stage founders working on innovations in workforce development, climate resilience, and equitable economic opportunity. You'll bring hands-on business experience and judgment to help founders navigate growth challenges, refine their business models, and strengthen operations as they move from proof-of-concept toward sustainable scale.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-on-one strategic guidance on business model design, go-to-market strategy, and operational scaling
• Help portfolio companies identify and structure partnerships with public agencies, private sector partners, and nonprofit organizations
• Contribute to investment readiness assessments and fundraising strategy as companies pursue later-stage capital or revenue models
• Participate in collaborative problem-solving and strategic planning with founders and the Edge Collaborative team
• Share lessons from your own entrepreneurial experience to accelerate founder learning and decision-making
• Support business planning and financial modeling work that strengthens long-term sustainability

Who We're Looking For

• Significant track record building, scaling, or leading a business or venture to meaningful scale
• Strong knowledge of business model innovation, financial planning, and operational strategy
• Demonstrated interest in solving challenges around economic inequality, workforce development, or climate resilience
• Proven ability to mentor and advise founders with both candor and empathy
• Comfort partnering across public, private, and nonprofit sectors
• Resourcefulness, adaptability, and willingness to work in a dynamic civic innovation environment
