About the Role

The Director, Municipal Police Academy is a full-time, on-site position responsible for the comprehensive administrative and operational leadership of Bucks County Community College's police training program. This is an opportunity to shape the next generation of law enforcement officers while driving excellence in public safety education.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative and operational oversight of the Municipal Police Academy
• Ensure training programs meet or exceed state certification and regulatory standards
• Lead, supervise, and develop academy instructors and support staff
• Collaborate with college leadership, law enforcement agencies, and community stakeholders
• Manage curriculum development and program evaluation to maintain instructional quality
• Oversee scheduling, resource allocation, and academy operations

Qualifications

• Significant experience in law enforcement, public safety, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience, preferably in an educational or training environment
• Strong knowledge of police academy operations, training standards, and applicable regulations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to student success and professional development in law enforcement training
