About the Role
AHRC Nassau is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals participating in Day Habilitation and ICF programs. DSPs are essential in upholding our agency’s mission of promoting independence and a high quality of life for those we serve.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous support for self-care, health, safety, socialization, and overall well-being.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages independence and community engagement.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized support plans.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in all interactions.
Who We're Looking For
- A compassionate and dedicated individual who values teamwork and collaboration.
- An individual with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A person who can demonstrate a commitment to the well-being of others.
- Experience in direct support roles or related fields is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
