What This Role Involves
This role involves providing direct support to individuals with disabilities in Silver Spring, MD. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and personal growth of your clients through personalized care and advocacy. Your duties include assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and advocating for their rights within the community.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities in various aspects of daily life including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and mobility assistance.
- Care for clients' physical and emotional needs by ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Facilitate social interactions and recreational activities that promote independence and community engagement.
- Advocate for the rights and interests of your clients within the community and with relevant organizations.
- Document client progress, care plans, and other important information in a timely manner.
