About the Role

Under the guidance of shop leadership, assist in conducting preventative maintenance and basic repairs on both Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles to maintain GFL’s fleet in safe and continuous “road ready” condition. This role involves working closely with senior mechanics to ensure all vehicle systems are inspected and maintained according to company standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in the inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, and other critical vehicle components.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid checks, and tire rotations.
• Support senior mechanics with more complex repairs when necessary.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.

What You Bring

• A valid CDL Class C license with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicles you will be working on.
• Familiarity with Diesel and CNG vehicle systems, including diagnostic tools and procedures.
• Basic mechanical skills and the ability to learn new techniques quickly.
• A strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all tasks performed.
