The Telegraph is hiring a CMC – Media Sales Executive (UK remote) to join our advertising sales team and champion consumer magazine advertising across print, digital, and bespoke creative formats. About the Role
As a CMC – Media Sales Executive at The Telegraph, you will own new business growth while nurturing a portfolio of lifestyle and specialist vertical brands. Your focus is building advertising packages that link these partners with our highly engaged readership across every platform we publish on.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, pitch to, and win new advertisers across print, digital, and branded content channels.
- Shape strategic proposals that blend established media with standout creative — including native content, social extensions, custom events, and editorial collaborations.
- Strengthen and expand relationships with media agencies and direct-to-brand clients.
- Partner with editorial, design, and marketing colleagues to build integrated, made-to-measure programmes.
- Track market and industry movements to surface fresh opportunities and keep us ahead of competitors.
- Present persuasively and negotiate rates and placement with confidence.
- Keep forecasts and client records accurate and up to date within our CRM tools.
- Hit and surpass monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
Qualifications
- A sales background, with transferable skills welcome; experience in consumer magazines or lifestyle publications is a plus.
- Strong communication, storytelling, and negotiation abilities.
- A creative, collaborative mindset for shaping and delivering campaigns.
- Self-driven, well-organised, and at ease in a fast-moving, deadline-led setting.
- Confident using CRM software alongside Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
