Construction Superintendent

gpac is hiring a full-time Construction Superintendent to lead field operations on major commercial projects in the Sunnyvale and Dallas areas. This hands-on leadership role offers the chance to oversee complex jobsites, mentor teams, and deliver high-impact work that shapes the built environment.

About the Role

In this position, you'll take charge of day-to-day construction management on commercial developments, from project kickoff through substantial completion. You'll balance safety protocols, budget controls, and aggressive schedules while maintaining the quality standards that define successful commercial work. Your ability to make fast decisions, solve problems on the fly, and lead diverse trades professionals will be critical to your impact.

Core Duties

• Direct all job-site operations and coordinate work between multiple trade contractors
• Implement and enforce safety programs, conduct toolbox talks, and maintain compliance with OSHA and local codes
• Monitor project budgets, manage change orders, and track material and labor costs to prevent overruns
• Create and maintain realistic construction schedules; expedite work to meet or beat timelines
• Conduct quality inspections at each phase and resolve deficiencies before handoff
• Communicate daily with clients, architects, engineers, and project managers to keep all parties aligned
• Manage and mentor field crews, resolve conflicts, and build accountability on the team

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on commercial construction experience, ideally in general contracting or preconstruction
• Demonstrated expertise managing mid to large-scale commercial projects from start to finish
• Strong knowledge of building codes, OSHA standards, and construction safety best practices
• Proven track record delivering projects on schedule and within budget
• Excellent verbal and written communication; comfort with daily reporting and client interaction
• Leadership experience managing 10+ team members, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Valid driver's license required; willingness to travel between Sunnyvale and Dallas jobsites
