About This Position

The Commis Chef position at Marriott Hotels Resorts in Tholo-Rapulana, Mafikeng offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the culinary excellence of our hotel. As a Commis Chef, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. You will also wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables, weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist. Additionally, you will be required to prepare cold foods and operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in the culinary field is preferred. Proficiency in food safety practices and kitchen hygiene standards is also required.
