Your Responsibilities

• Manage commercial dispute files from initial advice through to resolution or hearing while coordinating strategy with senior practitioners
• Prepare pleadings, affidavits, briefs, and related court documents with precision and clear legal reasoning
• Appear before courts and tribunals, advocate effectively, and participate in mediations or negotiations to achieve favourable client outcomes
• Advise top-tier business clients on risk, rights, and options across a diverse range of commercial conflicts
• Conduct thorough legal research, assess evidence, and contribute imaginative yet practical approaches to dispute resolution
• Collaborate closely within the team to maintain high service standards for complex and time-sensitive matters

What You Bring

• Between three years’ post-qualification experience and senior associate level expertise specifically in commercial litigation
• Proven ability to handle demanding caseloads, draft high-quality documents, and deliver persuasive oral advocacy
• Capacity to work under the guidance of highly accomplished partners and to serve sophisticated corporate clients with professionalism
• Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and excellent written and spoken communication interconnected with Melbourne practice requirements
