Position Summary
The St. David Unified School District is seeking a dedicated Coach to join our Athletic Department on a part-time basis. This role will involve supporting student-athletes in their physical and academic development, fostering a positive team environment, and adhering to district policies and procedures.
Core Duties
- Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in various sports programs
- Develop and implement training and practice plans that align with athletic goals and educational standards
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all athletes
- Collaborate with coaches, teachers, and administrators to ensure the overall success of student-athletes
- Monitor attendance and academic performance of student-athletes as required by district policies
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 1 year of coaching experience in a high school or similar setting
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups of students and staff members
- Familiarity with state and district athletic regulations and guidelines
- A commitment to promoting student well-being and academic success alongside athletic performance
