About This Position

We are seeking experienced Class A CDL Company Drivers for our team at U.S. Xpress - OTR in Portales, New Mexico. As a solo over-the-road (OTR) driver with 1-5 months of experience, you will be responsible for driving dry van trucks on a consistent schedule that allows for predictable home time and paid vacation.

• Drive U.S. Xpress - OTR's 52-56 mile-per-mile (CPM) trucks
• Average 2,000 miles per week with 100% no touch freight
• Earn a $2,000 sign-on bonus and performance bonuses for top 20%
• Run 28 days out, get 5 days home to maintain work-life balance

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Picking up and delivering freight across the United States
• Maintaining a safe driving record and adhering to all traffic laws
• Performing pre- and post-trip inspections of your vehicle
• Following company procedures for loading, securing, and unloading cargo
• Communicating with dispatchers and customers as needed during the trip

Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Hold a valid Class A CDL with appropriate endorsements (H/M if applicable)
• Have 1-5 months of OTR driving experience
• Possess strong time management and organizational skills
• Able to work independently and handle long hours on the road
• Meet all physical requirements for commercial driving, including vision and hearing tests
