About the Role
As a Charge Off Recovery Specialist in Houston, you'll focus on resolving charge-off accounts through professional, results-driven outreach. This on-site collections position rewards persistence and strong communication, pairing a competitive base with commission so your effort directly shapes your income.
Key Responsibilities
- Work and collect on assigned charge-off accounts to recover outstanding balances.
- Contact account holders by phone and other channels to discuss repayment and negotiate resolutions.
- Establish realistic payment arrangements and follow through to ensure commitments are honored.
- Maintain accurate, timely records of all account activity and customer interactions.
- Handle conversations with professionalism, empathy, and compliance with applicable collection practices.
- Consistently meet recovery goals to maximize both account resolution and personal earnings.
Qualifications
- Confident verbal communication and persuasive negotiation skills.
- Goal-oriented mindset with the drive to pursue unlimited earning potential through commission.
- Comfort working charge-off or collections accounts and managing a high volume of contacts.
- Reliability for a full-time, on-site schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with every other Saturday.
- Strong organization and attention to detail when documenting account progress.
