The CEWD Part-Time Instructor, Crane, Rigging & Signal Person position is part of a part-time staff pool that Alvin College maintains to fill teaching assignments as they become available throughout the academic year. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on and classroom instruction in crane operation, rigging, and signal person practices for Continuing Education Workforce Development learners.
• Prepare and present coursework that reflects current industry safety standards and operational procedures.
• Guide students toward the practical skills and certifications relevant to crane, rigging, and signaling roles.
• Support departmental goals by accepting assignments as scheduling and enrollment needs arise during the academic year.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional experience in crane operation, rigging, and/or serving as a signal person.
• Knowledge of relevant industry safety standards and best practices within the discipline.
• Ability to communicate technical material clearly to adult learners of varying experience levels.
• Flexibility to take on part-time teaching assignments as they become available throughout the year.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate for this position is set according to prevailing market rates, the instructor's experience, and the specific discipline being taught.
