About the Role
We're hiring experienced commercial drivers to support our growing operations at our Scotia, Schenectady County facility. In this full-time position, you'll operate a fleet of specialized commercial vehicles serving customer sites throughout the region. This is hands-on work combining driving expertise with site-based responsibilities.
What You'll Do
- Operate commercial trucks including vacuum units, roll-off vehicles, and specialized equipment
- Execute safe, compliant transportation of hazardous materials with proper Hazmat certification
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Complete non-driving tasks at customer locations as assigned
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with dispatch and customer teams to ensure on-time service delivery
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement
- Clean driving record and verifiable work history
- Experience operating heavy and light-duty commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and transportation regulations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
