Your route will be structured to ensure you return home to the Clarksville area every week, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments.
Core Duties
- Safely operate a Class A commercial truck on assigned regional routes
- Transport freight between distribution centers, warehouses, and Dollar General retail locations
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Document deliveries, trip logs, and cargo information per FMCSA requirements
- Manage loading and unloading of freight while maintaining cargo integrity
- Coordinate with dispatch on scheduling, delays, and route changes
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a satisfactory driving record
- Professional truck driving experience (preferred)
- DOT medical certification and willingness to pass background screening
- Strong knowledge of hours-of-service regulations and safe driving protocols
- Reliable communication and decision-making abilities
- Physical fitness for truck operation and cargo handling tasks
