About the Role
Dollar General Fleet is seeking experienced Class A CDL drivers for regional freight routes that bring you home every week. Operating modern fleet equipment, you'll transport merchandise from our distribution centers to retail locations throughout Dollar General's rapidly expanding store network. What You'll Do
- Operate a Class A commercial truck on assigned regional routes with consistent weekly return schedules
- Transport freight between distribution facilities and retail store locations across the country
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain fleet safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company operational standards
- Communicate with dispatch and management regarding route progress and delivery times
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Professional demeanor and strong commitment to safety
- Experience operating commercial vehicles on regional freight routes preferred
- Ability to follow company policies and federal DOT regulations
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Comfort with full-time scheduling that includes weekly home time
