What This Role Involves
As a Caregiver or CNA with In-Home Care, you'll help clients maintain their independence and dignity while receiving compassionate support in familiar surroundings. You'll develop meaningful relationships with the people you care for, while ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing. This full-time position combines hands-on caregiving with genuine companionship, allowing you to make a real difference in your clients' quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Support mobility and transfer activities, using proper body mechanics and safety techniques
- Monitor vital signs and report any health changes to supervisors
- Help with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional support
- Provide light housekeeping and laundry assistance to maintain a clean home environment
- Offer emotional support and companionship to reduce isolation
- Follow individualized care plans and communicate updates to the care team
- Ensure client safety while respecting their preferences and privacy
Skills & Qualifications
- Current CNA certification or ability to obtain it (preferred for CNAs; not required for general caregivers)
- Basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification, or willingness to obtain one
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependability, patience, and genuine compassion for others
- Ability to work independently and follow care instructions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between homes
