Care Partner – Wilson County Med/Surg 2N (Nights)

Vumc is seeking a full-time Care Partner for the Wilson County Medical-Surgical 2N unit in Lebanon, Tennessee. This night shift position offers meaningful work supporting acute patient care in a hospital environment.

The Opportunity

Join Vumc's patient care team on our Medical-Surgical 2N unit, where you'll work nights to support nursing staff and contribute directly to patient comfort and recovery. As a Care Partner, you are an essential part of our care delivery model, providing hands-on assistance and compassionate support to patients during their hospital stay. Your night shift work ensures patients receive attentive care when they need it most.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living
• Monitor and report patient vital signs and changes in condition to nursing staff
• Help patients with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility according to care protocols
• Maintain patient rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety
• Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights throughout the shift
• Support nursing staff with patient care tasks and non-clinical unit duties
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations
• Collaborate effectively with the night shift care team

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Willingness and physical ability to assist patients with daily care activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently during night hours while supporting a team
• Compassion for patients and dedication to quality care
• Reliable attendance and professional work ethic
• Relevant healthcare certifications such as CNA preferred
