Vumc is seeking a full-time Care Partner for the Wilson County Medical-Surgical 2N unit in Lebanon, TN. This night shift position offers meaningful work supporting acute patient care in a hospital environment. The Opportunity Join Vumc's patient care team on our Medical-Surgical 2N unit, where you'll work nights to support nursing staff and contribute directly to patient comfort and recovery. As a Care Partner, you are an essential part of our care delivery model, providing hands-on assistance and compassionate support to patients during their hospital stay. Your night shift work ensures patients receive attentive care when they need it most. Your Responsibilities Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living Monitor and report patient vital signs and changes in condition to nursing staff Help patients with safe transfers, positioning, and mobility according to care protocols Maintain patient rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety Respond promptly to patient requests and call lights throughout the shift Support nursing staff with patient care tasks and non-clinical unit duties Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate effectively with the night shift care team What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent education Willingness and physical ability to assist patients with daily care activities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently during night hours while supporting a team Compassion for patients and dedication to quality care Reliable attendance and professional work ethic Relevant healthcare certifications such as CNA preferred About Vumc Vumc is a comprehensive healthcare system committed to advancing health through excellent patient care, research, and education.
