Baker School District 5J is hiring a passionate BHS Head Cheer Coach to lead the Baker High School cheer program for the 2026-2027 school year in the United States.
About the Role
This full-time, on-site coaching position with Baker School District 5J places an enthusiastic leader at the helm of cheerleading at Baker High School (BHS) Athletics, a high-needs school. As the Head Cheer Coach, you will shape a positive team culture, develop student-athletes, and energize school spirit throughout the athletic season. The role is available beginning August 17, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Baker High School cheer program, including practices, performances, and game-day routines.
- Coach and mentor student-athletes in cheer technique, safety, sportsmanship, and teamwork.
- Plan and lead organized, age-appropriate training sessions that build skill and confidence.
- Promote school spirit and represent BHS with professionalism at athletic and community events.
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, and communication with athletes, families, and athletic staff.
- Uphold district policies, athletic guidelines, and student safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- This is a non-certified coaching position; relevant cheer coaching or competitive cheer experience is highly valued.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
- A genuine commitment to supporting students in a high-needs school environment.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, motivating, and safety-focused team atmosphere.

Compensation
