About This Position

We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to join our award-winning Special Education team at ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Essex Junction, Vermont. As a full-time employee, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one behavioral support and interventions to students in elementary and middle schools.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on student needs
  • Provide direct support to students with identified behavioral challenges
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure consistent application of strategies
  • Monitor progress and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Document all interactions and progress in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or related field required
  • Certification or licensure as a Behavior Specialist preferred but not required
  • Experience working with students with behavioral challenges is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and creative thinking
