About This Position
The Automotive Technician at Cogentanalytics is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles safely, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer and company standards. Key responsibilities include performing vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing, identifying mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues, and recommending corrective actions based on manufacturer specifications and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicular Diagnostics & Repair: Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and diagnostic tests. Identify and diagnose root causes of mechanical, electrical, drivability, and performance issues. Recommend and perform repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards.
- Inspection & Customer Recommendations: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, identify maintenance and repair opportunities, document findings accurately, and communicate repair recommendations clearly to service advisors. Support customer safety and preventative maintenance programs.
- Productivity & Workflow Management: Maintain efficient work habits and productivity levels by completing assigned tasks within established labor times. Manage workflow and prioritize assignments effectively to support overall shop throughput and scheduling objectives.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license. ASE certification preferred but not required.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance, preferably with a focus on diagnostics and repairs.
- Skills: Strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
