Role Overview
Carter Myers Automotive is seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Reconditioning Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair pre-owned vehicles before they are placed on the dealership lot. This role is ideal for an automotive technician with dealership experience who enjoys a variety of mechanical repairs.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Inspect and assess pre-owned vehicles for potential issues
- Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems including electrical, mechanical, and bodywork
- Ensure all vehicles meet company standards before being placed on the lot
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as needed
- Work closely with sales teams to prepare vehicles for sale
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive repair, specifically used vehicle reconditioning
- Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong mechanical skills with a focus on pre-owned vehicles
- Must be ASE certified (CMA preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
