Role Overview
Chevy Chase Trust is seeking a talented Associate, Software Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of Bfsaul, you will be responsible for writing production-quality code that can be easily picked up and extended by your teammates. Our CRM system is custom-built rather than using off-the-shelf platforms, so real software engineering skills are essential. You should have a strong ability to read, extend, and refactor existing codebases as well as the capability to develop new features.
Responsibilities
- Write production-quality code that is maintainable and extensible by your teammates
- Work with non-technical stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions
- Take ownership of problems from start to finish, ensuring they are resolved in a timely manner
- Contribute to the ongoing development and maintenance of our custom-built CRM system
Requirements
- Experience writing production-quality code that can be easily picked up by others
- A strong understanding of software engineering principles, including code refactoring and extension
- The ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- A track record of taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to resolution
