About the Role
As Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison, you'll serve as a scientific thought leader and trusted advisor to healthcare providers, hospital systems, and oncologists across your region. You'll bridge clinical science and technology to demonstrate how Tempus' real-world evidence platform delivers actionable insights that inform treatment decisions and improve clinical outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with key opinion leaders, medical professionals, and healthcare institutions across the Central Region
- Deliver compelling presentations of clinical data, scientific research, and case studies to physician groups and hospital decision-makers
- Provide scientific expertise on real-world evidence, precision medicine, and AI applications in clinical practice
- Gather and communicate market intelligence to inform company strategy and product development
- Support sales, marketing, and clinical operations teams with scientific content and evidence-based insights
- Stay current with clinical literature, emerging treatment guidelines, and competitive landscape developments
- Maintain compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and professional standards
What We're Looking For
- Advanced degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or related field (MD, PharmD, MS, or equivalent)
- Professional experience in medical science liaison, clinical research, sales enablement, or similar healthcare professional roles
- Proven track record engaging with healthcare providers and building lasting professional relationships
- Strong understanding of clinical trial design, evidence evaluation, and how data informs clinical decision-making
- Excellent scientific communication skills: ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling narratives
- Willingness to travel throughout the Central Region for in-person relationship building and clinical engagement
