About the Role

As Assistant Store Manager at Spencer Gifts - Spirit Halloween, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to oversee all aspects of a seasonal retail location. You'll be instrumental in building the store from the ground up—from initial setup and merchandising to daily operations and final teardown. This is hands-on leadership: you'll manage team scheduling, ensure consistent store presentation, maintain inventory standards, and help create the engaging shopping experience Spirit Halloween customers expect.

What You'll Do

• Support hiring, training, and scheduling of store staff throughout the season
• Direct store setup, layout, and merchandising to maximize sales and customer appeal
• Oversee inventory management and product placement
• Lead end-of-season pack-up and teardown operations
• Maintain cleanliness, safety standards, and store organization
• Collaborate with the Store Manager on sales goals and operational efficiency
• Assist customers and resolve issues with professionalism

Compensation & Benefits

This position offers an hourly rate of $17.25–$17.50, based on qualifications and experience. You'll also have access to our Set-Up and Tear Down Premium Pay Programs and End of Season Premium Pay Program. Additional bonus and pay opportunities are available for those who meet program qualifications.
