What This Role Involves
The Assistant Store Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Store Manager. Responsibilities include staffing, setup, merchandising, pack-up and teardown of the store. You will be involved in ensuring the store is well-staffed, organized, and ready for each season.
Your Responsibilities
- Staffing: Assist with hiring, training, and managing part-time staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Setup and Merchandising: Oversee the setup of new products, ensuring they are displayed attractively and efficiently.
- Pack-Up and Tear Down: Manage the process of packing up old inventory and tearing down displays at the end of each season.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of retail management experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- The ability to multitask effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising principles.
Hourly rate ranges from $18.90 - $19.15 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Benefits include California Paid Sick Time, Set-Up and Tear Down Premium Pay Programs, End of Season Premium Pay Program. All Bonus and Pay Programs are subject to qualifications.
