About the Role
As an Assistant Football Coach with Central Point School District 6, you will help lead, instruct, and inspire middle school student-athletes. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning, organizing, and running practices and games
- Teach football fundamentals, conditioning, and team strategy in an age-appropriate way
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all student-athletes
- Model good sportsmanship, discipline, and academic accountability
- Supervise students during practices, competitions, and team travel
- Support player safety, equipment care, and adherence to district and league rules
Qualifications
- Knowledge of football fundamentals, rules, and coaching techniques
- Strong communication and mentorship skills with middle school-aged students
- Commitment to student safety, well-being, and character development
- Ability to meet all certification, background check, and clearance requirements for coaching in an Oregon school district
- Reliable availability for after-school practices, games, and athletic events
